A small tree with deep roots looks at a big green tree and thinks Oh… look at it… how tall he is. It thinks to itself “Wow… how can a tree stand so tall. I carry the burden of so many fruits and birds. May be this is why I am so short.” .
While the the big tree boasts about how tall and green it stood. He did not bear any fruit and did not let any birds to sit on its branches as it wanted to look beautiful.
When the fire came to the jungle every animal protected the tree which bore fruits as that is the one that provided them food and shelter to them rather than the one which stood tall as it did not protect them.
I have seen the wicked in great power,
And spreading himself like a native green tree. Yet he passed away, and behold, he was no more;
Indeed I sought him, but he could not be found. (Psalm 37: 36-37)
Do not be envious of the tree which bears no fruits no matter how good it looks on the outside. Sometimes we see wicked people living a rich life. We think they have the best life seeing their life on social media and other places, but we do not see every aspect of their lives. They might be rich and might seem like they have everything but true happiness is found in bearing fruit and helping others.
So, today which tree in your lives is making you jealous and not be grateful for your own lives?
Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them. (Matthew 7:19-20)
