We all make plans everyday to do a lot of things, some days turn out better than others. Some days not so much.
How much time do you spend with God in these days. Days which seem like you are so busy and too tired to do anything.
When you start your day you might have great plans to take a shovel and dig into the word so much deeper. But at the end of the day, you can’t even lift the shovel.
What do you do then, give up and think you will dig deeper tomorrow. At least that is what I would do.
But instead take a spoon and dig today. You may not go very deep but you are a little better not doing anything at all. It is easy if it is a spoonful of word. Just dig into one verse. When you do so don’t just read that verse and forget it but rather carry it around in your heart until you dig with a spoon the next time. Soon you will find yourself craving for that spoonful everyday. Especially on those busy and tired days you will find yourself rested, peaceful and filled with joy because of that one spoonful.
So, here’s your spoonful for today.
And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. (Deuteronomy 8:3)
